Writers’ Frequently Asked Questions

Once the client accepts the order, the money for your work will go to your wallet. You can then choose to withdraw it in the “Payout” tab.

You can withdraw your money using PayPal or Stripe.

To ensure writers receive their money, we have a payment protection system in place. Once you get hired, the money is put in an Escrow account and released once your work is approved.

Projects are created by clients when they’re looking for writers. You can either bid on public projects or get invited to a private one.

There’s no limit to the number of projects you can be working on at once. However, make sure you can handle the workload and still deliver quality work.

Services are specific offers created by writers that can be bought by clients. For example, you can offer to write a 1000-word blog post or a landing page at a fixed price.

There’s no limit to the number of services you could be offering at any time. However, just like with projects, ensure you can handle the workload and still deliver high-quality work.

Writers pay a commission on both projects and services, based on the total amount earned from each client:

Earnings per Client

Commission Rate

$0 – $500

20%

$501 – $10,000

10%

$10,001 – $40,000+

5%

This applies to both project and service earnings.

• Example 1: If you earn $400 from a project, the platform fee is 20% ($80), so you receive $320.

• Example 2: If you earn $2,000 from a service, the platform fee is 10% ($200), so you receive $1,800.

Yes. The more you earn from a single client, the lower your commission rate becomes for higher earning tiers. For example, after you surpass $500 in earnings from a client, the commission on additional earnings drops to 10%, and after $10,000, it drops to 5%.

No, the only fees charged to Writers are the commission rates listed above. There are no additional or hidden fees.

Yes, the commission structure is identical for both projects and services for both Employers and Writers.

Fees are deducted automatically at the time of each payment transaction.

Clients' Frequently Asked Questions

The most important rule to finding great clients is to have an idea of what an ideal client is to you. What kind of work are they looking for? How much are they willing to pay? What are the deadlines like? Then, either bid on projects that meet your criteria or create gigs for clients that fit that description.

Of course! In fact, the idea behind WRITER is to let writers work with clients directly. You are free to pick clients, negotiate rates, and do the work on your own terms!

Employers pay a 3% flat commission fee on both projects and services. This means that for every payment made to a Writer, an additional 3% is charged as a commission.

Example: If you hire a Writer for a $100 project, you will pay $103 in total.

No, the only fee charged to Employers is the 3% flat commission on each transaction. There are no additional or hidden fees.
